Great travel shoes – I bought my first pair of these sandals for a trip to Europe. My goal was to have a single pair of shoes that I could walk in all day and were fancy enough to wear with a dress to dinner. They were definitely comfortable enough. As you can see, they’re a little casual for restaurants, but they were passable. Now, 5 years later, I’m buying my second pair. The originals are still in good functional condition — I’ve just spilled a lot of junk on them. (For that reason I’d vote for leather instead of nubuck.)
Used to be good but isn’t anymore – This sandal used to be my favorite shoe. I wore it in many colors and they lasted long and were wonderful and comfortable. But in the last two years every pair I have bought has self destructed. In two pairs the bottom rubber just crumbled. I sent one back and got a replacement. But the replacement had a problem with the sole that touches your foot. It got wet one day when rain started and my foot made a deep imprint which never went away. In between the toes and the ball of my foot was a deep groove that gave me a blister and I had to throw them out. I got less than a month out of those. I bought another pair and the very same thing happened and I didn’t even get them wet. Clarks Aqua Shoes. I think something changed. I used to love these shoes and now they are a waste of money and I’m pretty unhappy about that. I don’t know what to buy now. I hear they have changed the design of this shoe but I’m loath to spend another $65 trying.
Clark’s sandals have been around for a long time. They are wonderful sandals. The one criticism I have is that they have limited the color selection. I currently own 6 pairs and would have bought more! They’re that good, especially for people with foot problems.
Mom’s comfortable shoes. My Mom is 88 years old and has bunions and hammertoes that prevent her from wearing most shoes. She had a pair of Clarks sandals just like these that were wearing out. I had to wait until the summer sandals came out to find her a wide width sandal just like she had previously. They fit her perfectly and don’t hurt her feet.
This is the second pair I have purchased of this shoe. Love them. They are more comfortable than my walking shoes. Service from you company was A-1. Will buy from you again and probably the same shoe if they are still available.
Clarks Sunburst – I ordered these to replace a pair that had worn out. These do not have the same fit as there is a ridge around the outside of the heel that was not in the previous model. They are not particularly attractive shoe but I have problems with fit and these are fairly comfortable for me.
Sunbeat not so springy – I have worn these sandals for years and finally had to replace my old ones. They look the same, they fit the same, but they sure don’t feel the same. When I walk on hard surfaces, there is no cushioning; with my old ones I could feel the cushioning as I walked; these, I feel only hard surface. That is really disappointing because I have done a lot of walking in my old sandals that I will not be able to do in the new ones, because of the harder less cushioned sole. Too bad, I was hoping for better.
Sunbeat comfort – The sandals have been great. With the adjustable straps they fit fine. I needed to tighten a couple of the straps. I love the color – blue…and they work well with or without socks of any kind…Cool weather and open sandals get a bit cold.
I’ve been wearing Sunbeat’s for years. They’re the most comfortable sandals I’ve ever owned. I even took a new pair to Europe and was able to wear them all day without breaking in. I have extra wide feet but short toes – I ordered a half size smaller than usual, and the buckles allow me to adjust the wide width to extra wide.
As others also noted the leather is thin. I bought my first pair of Clarks 13 or 14 years ago for about the same price I paid for these, so I guess they had to cut somewhere. The shoe is comfortable though. Again as others noted it’s hard to get the back strap to feel properly tightened, but I still will wear the shoe as it is comfortable.
Comfort for my feet – This is my third pair of Clarks Sunbeat. They are stylish yet comfortable for walking. I go to Europe and find these work perfectly on the long city walks, even those that have cobblestoned streets. I would, and have, recommended them to friends. Their look and their price can’t be beat.
