  1. Seatline Says:

I love Clarks and was excited to get their old standard, the Sunbeat for the first time. I was a little disappointed. The leather seemed thinner and cheaper than I was used to in some of my other Clarks, and somehow I felt they were smaller than I expected, my toes seemed to sort of “hang out” at the front more than usual, and I have short toes, so that was unusual. Also, there wasn’t as much cushioning in the sole as some of my ancient old Clarks clots–I seemed to sort of jarringly bottom out on every step. I thought that if I were on vacation and doing a lot of walking I would definitely have serious foot fatigue at the end of a very few hours. I do walk a lot in the city now, and these are not the shoes I would pick for that. I am a little disappointed, although they are comfy shoes–I have a high standard for Clarks and these just don’t really measure up.

  2. Wisconsin Says:

A Great Choice - The Clarks DEsert Boots is the perfect Originals Shoe for me. There’s no need to “break them in”, as they are comfortable from the start. The adjustable straps are a real plus. A terrific buy. Plus, they were delivered promptly after I placed my order. Great Service, Great Sandal!

  3. Clarks Originals Boots Says:

A comfortable choice - I like this shoe, although it took some breaking in. At first the leather was sort of tough and the front strap scraped some skin off one of my toes. After a while they broke in and now I wear them everywhere. My friends tell me they look sort of old-ladyish but I think they’re cute.

  4. Loisene Says:

Love Clarks - I have been wearing the Sunbeat for over 5 years. Purchased my first pair at Nordstrom but when I went back to get another pair (4 years later) they no longer carried them. Then one day I was checking the Internet (Zappos at a friend’s suggestion) and there were my beloved Clarks Sunbeat. I ordered and less than a week later I had my new shoes. I immediately put them on and they were perfect. I will order more very soon.

  5. Texas Says:

Clarks are comfortable - I have terrible feet, pronation, plantar fasciitis, and lower back pain because of bad feet. I needed a sandal that I could wear for ‘nice’ instead of the New Balance 842s/843s I have to wear every day. I have been able to wear these Clarks for as long as I needed to (up to 4 hours) without any foot or back pain. Comfort is the only thing I care about in a shoe. This one is a good one.

  6. Elena Says:

Not my old Clarks - These are a much firmer and stiffer walk than my last pair of Clarks of several years ago. Also, the last has been changed and feels longer and skinnier, though I can’t see that a difference in size or width would help - it’s just shaped differently. I don’t enjoy them as much.

  7. Dee Says:

Clarks Sunbeat Sandals - I used to wear this style sandal years ago as it was one of the few available in size 12 back then, but recently started wearing less expensive slides. However, after my hammertoe surgery I started having numbness and pain on top of my foot and some pain in the arch. My surgeon recommended I start to wear my orthodics which meant no more sandals. Instead, I decided to switch back to a better-built sandal with arch support and that has made all the difference in the world. I didn’t care for the bone color, but kept the midnight blue and mushroom pairs. My feet are no longer complaining! One nice feature of the Sunbeat sandal is the adjustable straps which allow them to fit any foot. Even after they get broken in, the straps can be re-adjusted so they still fit well.
